A lady by name Carol Okoko has been shot, in a failed kidnap attempt, which occurred on Wednesday, 8th June, 2022.
She was rescued by a Good Samaritan and is currently receiving treatment at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu.
She was said to be on her way to the wake keep of her mother’s friend’s burial in Anambra state, when a failed attempt to kidnap her and her driver led to her getting shot in the head and under her arms.
The incident occurred near the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) office, by a popular palm wine drinking spot in Udi, Enugu state, along the old Enugu/Onitsha expressway.
