Multiple award-winning actor and star of “A Soldier’s Story” and “The Fugit#ve”, Daniel K Daniel who was one of only two Nollywood actors invited into membership of the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences, organizers of the Academy Awards and whose memebers are responsible for voting the winners of the highly coveted Oscar Awards, has revealed that his living in the United States of America for the past four years has no correlation to his being invited to the Academy.

In a series of now deleted Instagram stories, the 2016 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA), Best Actor winner declared, “It’s so funny that when I moved to the US, people said I would become a security guard or work at McDonald’s! 😄 Now that I’m invited to the Academy, them still dey talk say na because I dey stay Yankee!
