Outrage has trailed a tweet from the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), on the terror attack on Kuje prison, Abuja, on Tuesday night.
Buhari in the tweet expressed his sadness about the attack and questioned the nation’s intelligence system.
The retired major general tweeted, “Saddened by the attack on the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje. I am disappointed with the intelligence system.
How can terrorists organize, have weapons, attack a security installation and get away with it? I am expecting a comprehensive report on this shocking incident.”
Slamming the Commander of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Ikenna Onyebuchi said, “It is so weird that the c-in-c is asking this question on Twitter.
“I hope the security agencies will also reply on Twitter so we can follow their gbas gbos.”
Cedric Dakoru tweeted, “You should be disappointed in yourself as the C-in-C first. You’ve failed this country and you’re the worst president ever.”
Alarmed Morris Monye said, “Nigerians really wasted eight years of their lives. The commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces (Land, Air and sea) asking us on Twitter how attack take happen. Eight full years wasted.”
Former Kano governor aide, Salihu Tanko Yakasai said, “It took you years to move from being shocked to being disappointed,
“this attack and that of your convoy is a sign that we are in deep trouble and at this point, it’s safe to say you are the worst commander in chief in the history of this country. Mr President, do your job please.”
