This jetty was first built in 1795 by Europeans for the purpose of conveying sl@ves into the waiting ships.
It’s a floating jetty and has three major underground which were used to stored very stubborn sl@ves
The Store has capacity for about 30 people but 150 people were forced in at any given time.
It was nicknamed “THE BRIDGE OF NO RETURN” Because once a sl@ve stepped on it they were not allowed to look back and never return to their family again.
Today you can step on the bridge, look back and return home to your family.
